Woman Visiting Niagara Falls Has Purse Stolen, Business "Refused" to Review Cameras

Niagara Falls Police followed up regarding an incident that occurred on July 4th at Moe's Southwestern Grill on Rainbow Boulevard where a woman's purse was stolen.

Officers spoke to the complainant who stated that while visiting Niagara Falls, he and his wife were eating food outside of Moe’s between 9:30pm and 10:00pm. While eating, his wife’s purse that was on a chair directly beside her went missing.

The complainant stated neither of them saw the purse being taken. He then attempted to request Moe’s staff review any cameras they may have had and they “refused to assist,” according to the report. It is unknown what cameras, if any, Moe's would have had to check.

The property taken includes the following: (1) Coach purse valued at $200, (2) wallet containing a NYS driver’s license, debit card and five credit cards, (3) $300 cash, (4) U.S. passports, and (5) misc. documents such as medical/insurance cards. No further information is available at this time.
