Tragedy struck on Wednesday night as a woman was shot and killed in Buffalo. The incident occurred around 8:45pm on the 100 block of Liddell Street near Broadway and Bailey Avenue. According to authorities, the victim, a 43-year-old woman, was involved in an altercation with other women when she was shot.
Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene and the victim was immediately transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. Tragically, despite the efforts of medical professionals she was pronounced dead upon arrival, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Buffalo Police.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office has since announced that Shana A. Rowe has been charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree in connection with the shooting. If convicted, Rowe could face a sentence of up to 25 years to life in prison. Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 26 and she is currently being held without bail.
