Woman's Vehicle Destroyed in Overnight Break-in, Says she has no Enemies

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2100 block of Seneca Avenue around 10:30am on October 22nd after reports of criminal mischief.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the female complainant who stated an unknown person broke into her locked vehicle overnight. Although nothing appeared stolen, there was “significant damage . . . to the inside of it.”

The complainant stated she went to bed around 9pm and locked her vehicle before doing so. Upon leaving this morning, she observed the inside of her vehicle destroyed.

The center console, the glove box, air vents, mirror, backup camera/screen, passenger side front door, and the vapor canister purge valve under the hood of the vehicle were completely torn apart and broken. The estimated damage to her vehicle is $1,500-2,000.

The complainant stated that she is “unsure who may have done this to her vehicle” as she does not "have any problems with anyone.”

She does have a Ring camera on her front door but it did not capture anything. Officers did observe significant damage to the vehicle which was parked in the rear of the home just off an alley. There are no suspects at this time. No further information is available at this time.
