Niagara Falls Police responded to two separate stores on July 21st around 12pm after reports that the same woman stole from both locations.
At Dollar Tree, police spoke to an employee who stated that a woman was taking items and placing them into a bag. The employee, piss*d off that the woman would steal so blatantly and uncreatively from her store, called 911. After the bag was full, the woman passed all points of purchase without rendering payment. Once outside, she was immediately apprehended by law enforcement. Her "brilliant" shoplifting plans were thwarted.
Before the woman went to Dollar Tree, she hit up Rite Aid on Pine Avenue. Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that a black woman stole a bunch of items from the store. The description of the woman was given by dispatch to all officers. While still talking to the Rite Aid employee, officers were advised that the woman was detained as part of a different shoplifting incident at Dollar Tree.
The woman was brought back to Rite Aid for positive identification. She did have a bag on her and, after scanning items to determine what belonged to Rite Aid, an employee was able to determine the woman stole $131.70 worth of products.
The woman was taken to police headquarters for booking, processing and released with an appearance ticket. No further information is available - Woman's Shoplifting Spree Thwarted by Furious Employee.
