Niagara Falls Police were on routine patrol around 2:30am on October 23rd and initiated a traffic stop along Whitney Avenue.
Officers approached the vehicle and told all occupants the reason for stopping them. One officer observed that the female passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and requested her ID.
The female identified herself as “Janae.” However, this was a lie.
One officer asked her if he had “seen her in the past few days,” to which she said no. But the officer remembered her from a recent encounter the day before where she identified herself by a different name. In fact, the officer still had his note card with her pedigree information on him.
Both names did not show her in either Ejustice or IMPACT which seemed suspicious. The female was removed from the vehicle and questioned again regarding her name and date of birth. Officers were able to ascertain her correct information.
Dispatch advised that there was a warrant out of Niagara Falls for the female. She was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing where she was held for arraignment.
No further information is available at this time.
