Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2500 block of Ferry Avenue around 1:00pm on September 21st after an initial order of protection complaint that was later changed to a menacing.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who stated that yesterday on September 20th around 3:45pm he was in his apartment where he lives with his girlfriend and her son (child of unspecified age). He was playing video games when a female started to knock on the door.
The female asked if her sister was there and the complainant said no. He mentioned that her sister lives in the lower apartment.
The female then started to bang on the door more. She then opened the door and was holding a large black handle kitchen knife.
The female then grabbed the child's arm and started pulling him down the stairs. The complainant tried to stop her, but she started swinging the knife at him while still pulling the kid down with her. He was finally able to pry the child away from the female and they ran back upstairs and locked the door.
The complainant stated that he was in fear of being stabbed and killed with the knife. Officers observed several stab marks on the door.
The female suspect was sitting on the lower front porch and taken into custody. She was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
