Woman Charged with Attempted Murder After Drive-By Shooting


Another Home Invasion in Niagara Falls Leaves Occupants Frightened, Defenseless


Rhodesia Anderson, a 34-year-old woman from Buffalo, is facing multiple charges including attempted murder for her alleged involvement in a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier this month. The incident took place on August 2nd when Anderson allegedly fired shots into a group of people near the entrance of a store located at the corner of Genesee and May streets.



During the incident, one man sustained a gunshot wound to the hand and was subsequently treated at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC). Prosecutors revealed that the shooting followed a physical altercation between Anderson and a "known associate" outside the store. After an exhaustive investigation, Anderson was apprehended on Buffalo's West Side on Tuesday, August 21st.



She now faces several charges including second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree assault, and first-degree reckless endangerment. If convicted of the highest charge, Anderson could face a maximum sentence of up to 25 years in prison. She is currently being held on bail.
