Officers gained entry to the backyard and observed footprints in the snow leading up to the backdoor. Officers announced themselves. Once inside the kitchen a female emerged from the basement stairwell.
The female was detained and placed in handcuffs. Upon searching her person, officers found bolt cutters in a drawstring bag.
The homeowner then arrived on scene. The female was charged with criminal trespass and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
