Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Police observed an opened and mostly empty 1.5L glass bottle of port wine on the center armrest immediately next to the driver who was later identified as Carietha D. Wilson. There was also an open Walmart popcorn chicken cup with a purple liquid in the cupholder.

Wilson stated she didn’t know what was in the cup but further stated she was drinking wine at a friend’s house. Police conducted a Standardized Field Sobriety Test which Wilson agreed to. Wilson submitted to Preliminary Breath Test which returned a sample positive for alcohol reading 0.107% BrAC.

Police advised Wilson that she was under arrest for DWI and placed into custody without incident.
