Kleinhans Music Hall
October 12, 1940 was a very memorable moment for both Kleinhans Music Hall and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Why? Because this was both Kleinhans grand opening as well as the first time the PBO performed in the hall. In 1989 this hall was designated a National Historic Landmark, the highest designation of significance a site or structure can receive. This music hall is still today considered one of the most acoustically perfect halls in the world, and that perfection has not diminished throughout the years.
