Niagara Falls Police responded to Walmart on Military Road around 10am on June 18th after reports of a shoplifter who was preparing for a hearty cookout.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the loss prevention agent who stated that a male and female passed all points of purchase with 25 items valued at $231.59 without paying. The items consisted of baby back ribs, chicken breast, cheese and other food items.
The suspects were originally in the self-checkout lane but failed to scan all of the items. The male then terminated the transaction at which point they walked out of the store.
The male was issued a trespass notice for Walmart and SAM’s Club.
He was given an appearance ticket by police returnable at Niagara Falls City Court. No further information is available.
