Visiting New Jersey Man Learns to Lock His Car After Sunglasses Collection is Stolen


Niagara Falls Police responded to the Comfort Inn, located at 1 Prospect Point, around 12:30am on July 29th after reports of stolen property.


Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated he is from New Jersey and staying at the Comfort Inn during his stay in the falls. Around 11pm, he exited the hotel to grab a few things from his vehicle. When he opened the door to the 2019 BMW, it was apparent someone had been in the car. There were several items missing.



The items taken include the following: a grey Citi credit card, a green HAS debit card, a red Bank of America debit card, five pairs of sunglasses, and $80 in cash. He estimated the five stolen pairs of sunglasses at $700. When police asked whether or not he locked his car, he replied in the negative.


Law enforcement is in the process of obtaining surveillance footage. There are no known suspects at this time. No further information is available - Visiting New Jersey Man Learns to Lock His Car After Sunglasses Collection is Stolen.
