Authorities are urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating 16-year-old Imani Washington who has been missing since August 9th. There are growing concerns from those familiar with the situation that she may have fallen victim to sexual exploitation. The Town of Tonawanda Police Department is leading the investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Imani Washington was last seen leaving her residence more than two weeks ago and her current clothing description is unknown. It is believed that she may be staying in the Buffalo/West Side area, but that has not been confirmed. Disturbingly, recent changes in her appearance include a face tattoo above her right eye and bright orange hair.
Law enforcement is treating this case with utmost urgency due to the potential risks and dangers associated with the exploitation of minors.
