Unknown Suspect Breaks Into Vehicle and Steals Bulletproof Vest, Wallet, Gun


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1500 block of 100th Street around 10:45am on August 19th after reports of a larceny from a vehicle.


Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that he parked his black 2021 Chevrolet Blazer on August 18th around 9:30pm in front of his neighbors house. He admitted that the vehicle was unsecured at this time.



When he returned to his vehicle the following morning on August 19th, he noticed an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and stole several belongings. The suspect stole the following items: (1) his wallet, (2) his soft plate bulletproof vest, (3) his license, (3) three debit/credit cards, and (4) his Byrna Pepper Ball Gun. The value of the stolen items is estimated at $1,040.



There is video footage that detectives reviewed. It shows a male going up to the vehicle and then walking away. There are no suspects. No further information is available at this time.
