Two Pit Bulls Jump Fence to Attack Pug in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 3100 block of McKoon Avenue around 5:00pm on June 8th after reports that two pit bulls jumped a fence and attacked a pug.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who had let the pug out in her enclosed backyard. While out there, two pit bulls from the house behind them jumped the fence and started attacking the pug. The complainant heard loud noises from the backyard and saw two larger pit bulls viciously attacking the pug. The pug was howling.

Prior to police arrival, the owner of the pit bulls was ablet o take the dogs back to her residence. There were bite visible bite marks on the pug. It is unknown if the animal sustained any internal injuries. The pug was taken immediately to the vet to get checked out.

Officers relocated to the neighbor’s home.  The owner of the pit bulls stated she heard yelling coming from the backyard and went to see what was happening. Once she realized her pit bulls had jumped the fence, she immediately went to retrieve them. She told police that the pit bulls had never hopped that fence before and did not know they could.
