Two Erie County Deputies Struck by Truck Near Highmark Stadium after Bills Game


Two deputies from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office emerged uninjured after being struck by a truck near Highmark Stadium early Monday morning.


The incident occurred around 1am when a vehicle traveling westbound on Big Tree Road collided with the deputies who were directing traffic at the intersection of Big Tree and Abbott Road. Fortunately, both deputies were not hurt but were evaluated by medical personnel as a precautionary measure.



The vehicle involved in the incident, described as a dark-colored GMC truck, fled the scene and has not yet been located. Authorities are on the lookout for the driver who is described as a white male with a beard.



The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to come forward.
