A Niagara Falls man tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Route 422 in Butler County over the weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Murphy Ryan.
The fatal incident occurred on Sunday around 1:20 p.m. in Summit Township. According to the release from state police, Mr. Ryan was riding his motorcycle when he was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Route 422 and Geibel Road. The collision took place as Mr. Ryan was attempting to make a left turn onto Geibel Road, and another vehicle turned in front of him while he was driving eastbound.
The impact of the collision between Mr. Ryan's motorcycle and the Ford Fusion was devastating.
Despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Mr. Ryan suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

This tragic incident marks the second fatal crash on Route 422 in Western Pennsylvania within the past week. On June 12, another fatal accident occurred in Indiana County near the intersection of North Ridge and South Ridge roads in Armstrong Township. In that incident, a woman lost her life while turning out of her driveway, and two others, including an infant, sustained injuries.
Investigations into both accidents are ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to determine the causes and factors involved.
