Tourists Have Vehicle, Belongings Stolen While Inside Niagara Falls State Park

Niagara Falls Police responded the One Niagara Building in Downtown Niagara Falls around 7:00pm on May 30th after reports of tourists who had their vehicle stolen while inside the State Park.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that he and his family were vacationing in Niagara Falls from Ohio. Around 11:30am they parked their vehicle and went into Niagara Falls State Park for a few hours. They returned to the parking lot around 6:30pm to find their 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe missing.

The complainant stated he had all keys to the vehicle including the one he used to drive the vehicle from Ohio to Niagara Falls. In the vehicle included several personal items from all members of the family. This includes wallets, credit cards, social security cards, cash, electronic devices such as phones, and etc..

Police then spoke to a manager at One Niagara who provided officers with a flash drive of the surveillance footage. The video showed as follows: a male wearing a hoodie, shorts, and a baseball cap entered the parking lot just after 4:30pm. He walked across the parking lot to where the vehicle was parked and entered the vehicle. He is inside of the vehicle for about a minute prior to it leaving the parking lot. The vehicle exits the lot taking a left onto Mayor Michael O’Laughlin Drive. It then turns right heading South on Rainbow Blvd. before the camera loses sight of it.
