Three Cats Missing, Two Family Members Hospitalized After Residential Fire

Three Cats Missing After Structure Fire, Family Gets Out Safe

On July 3, 2024 at 2345 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call in regard to a residential structure fire on Knotty Pine Drive in Lockport, NY. Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and confirmed an active fire.

The occupants of the residence had evacuated prior to the Deputies response, along with their dog. The location of three cats was unknown. Two of the residents were treated for smoke inhalation, with one being transported to Lockport Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

The fire was subsequently extinguished by members of several local fire companies. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental and an estimated value of loss was not available at the time of media release. Two vehicles that were parked near the residence were also damaged in the fire.
