The Genesee County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday, October 11th that a third individual has been arrested in connection with the murder of an Olcott man whose body was discovered earlier this year. Edward A. Dunn, 38, of Lockport, has been charged with multiple offenses including second-degree murder in the death of 59-year-old Michael G. Poole.
Poole was found deceased on March 19th in the Alabama swamps during an investigation into a missing person report. He was found deceased in a truck after an attempt to submerge his body in the swamp.
The circumstances surrounding his death have led to a complex investigation and resulted thus far in multiple arrests. Dunn faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, concealment of a human corpse, and three counts of tampering with physical evidence.
He was taken into custody on Thursday during a court appearance in Genesee County and is currently being held on $100,000 bail. The investigation into Poole's death has yielded two previous arrests.
In April, Kathryn A. Henry, 33, from Lockport, was charged with murder, assault, conspiracy, and other related offenses. Two months later in June, Norman S. DuBois, 45, of Lockport, was charged with concealment of a human corpse, hindering prosecution, and additional counts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
