The officer was able to locate the suspect as they were exiting the store where he was detained and escorted to asset protection. Three days later on March 31st, police responded to the Family Dollar on Portage Road around 10am after reports of a shoplifter. The store manager spoke to police, stating that a unknown black male entered the store around 9:10am. After walking around the store, he placed two cases of dove soap into blue bags he was carrying and then fled. There were six bottles of soap in each case with a total value of $80.

The suspect was wearing dark clothing, had his hood up, a mask over his face, and was wearing shoes that appeared to be purple or blue on camera.
