Tenant Wakes to Find Vehicle Window Smashed, $850 in Property Stolen


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 9000 block of Zito Drive around 10:50am on October 13th after reports of criminal mischief.


Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that he parked his vehicle in the parking lot at 12am. The vehicle was secured and locked at that time.



When he returned to the vehicle around 7:30am, he observed his passenger side window shattered. The complainant stated that $350 cash and a Samsung cell phone was stolen out of the vehicle. The total value of the stolen goods is $850.



The complainant walked around the parking lot and found no other vehicle with damage. He told police the owner of the apartment building as a Ring surveillance camera that may have captured the incident. There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
