A 15-year-old male from Buffalo has been arrested and charged in connection with a school threat made on TikTok earlier this week. The Buffalo Police Department announced the arrest on Wednesday, which followed an investigation that was initiated after the FBI and New York State Troopers were alerted by TikTok about the alarming post.
The threat, which was made on Monday, involved mass harm and death. Law enforcement's investigation led them to the teen's apartment in Mariner Homes. Authorities utilized a Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order and recovered a Glock 19 handgun.
The teenager has been charged with one count of making a threat of mass harm. Additionally, a 33-year-old woman from Buffalo, identified as Yaireliz Santana Garcia, has been charged with one count of criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the incident.
