What appeared to be a celebration for the Kelce-Swift entourage during last year's divisional round game has taken on a different tone in recent days. While the Kansas City Chiefs secured a 27-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills, the experience left a lasting impression on the Kelce family and Taylor Swift (and not in a good way).
In a recent discussion on the Up & Adams show, Adam Lefkoe, a close friend of the Kelce family, revealed that the group was somewhat taken aback by the intensity of Bills Mafia.
"I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo. It was not. For all parties involved. And I'm talking about the most famous of all the parties," Lefkoe shared.
He elaborated that the Kelce family had anticipated an exciting atmosphere only to be confronted with the full force of Bills Mafia.
"I think they were kind of going in being like, 'This is going to be an amazing game with good energy.' And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in its complete ruthlessness," Lefkoe explained. "And I think they left and went, 'I don't know if I want to experience that again.'"
This clearly did not include Jason Kelce who LOVES Buffalo. During the playoff game he was seen interacting with fans, chugging beers, and even made a young Bills fan's dream come true of meeting Taylor Swift.
Swift, who dates Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, is expected to make a memorable return to Buffalo where she had a whirlwind experience last season. Her schedule aligns perfectly for another trip as she nears the end of her two-year Eras Tour.
With six performances lined up at the Rogers Center in Toronto starting Thursday and running through the end of next week, Swift has four days off during that period including Sunday.
The drive from Toronto to Buffalo is a manageable 108 miles (2 hours), making it an easy trip for Swift to cheer on Kelce as the Chiefs face off against the Bills. She could also choose to fly and make it in half the time.
This matchup carries significant playoff implications with the Chiefs currently boasting a 9-0 record after a victory over the Denver Broncos last Sunday. Meanwhile, the 8-2 Bills are eager to gain ground on the No. 1 overall seed with a win.
