Suspects Start Vehicle, Leave it Running for 1.5 Hours in Driveway Before Stealing It


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1300 block of Thorndale Avenue around 11am on September 30th after reports of a stolen vehicle.


Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that his 2016 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen. He woke up around 7am and noticed that the vehicle was missing from his driveway.



He immediately looked at his security cameras which showed multiple unidentifiable individuals lurking around the missing vehicle at 12:56am. The unknown suspects then gained access to the car and reversed it to the end of the driveway. However, they left it running with lights on until 2:26am when they returned and drove off with the vehicle.


The vehicle was entered into eJustice as stolen. There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
