Niagara Falls Police responded to the 8500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, in the area outside of Tim Hortons, around 4:45pm on November 9th after observing an unknown male walking in traffic. The male was acting erratically and yelling at cars driving by.
While officers watched, he entered the Tim Hortons parking lot and began yelling and swearing at customers. Officers pulled into the lot and told the male to stop. He responded, “fuc* you. I don’t have to stop,” and started to walk away.
Officers then exited the patrol vehicle and told the male he was being detained, to which he said, “I don’t have to stop. I didn’t assault anybody boy.”
He was placed in handcuffs and made several “racial remarks” while a pat down was being conducted. Witnesses told police that the male had been walking back and forth yelling and screaming for about two hours. One woman said that her children were afraid because the male was yelling, swearing and acting in an irate manner.
The male was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
