Niagara Falls Police responded to the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard around 9:30pm on November 17th after reports of harassment that was later determined to be an assault and burglary.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male suspect who was taken into custody and placed in the rear of a patrol vehicle. Officers then spoke to the female complainant who stated she was waiting in her motel room for a ride to work when a male she knows entered her room without permission. She further stated that the suspect started arguing with her over an incident that happened the prior day.
During the argument, the suspect grabbed the complainant by the throat and applied pressure causing her to have difficulty breathing. She then started to kick the suspect in the groin in an attempt to get away from him and call the police.
When she broke free and went to call 911 he exited the room. However, before leaving he grabbed unknown items belonging to the complainant.
While speaking with the suspect, he stated the complainant had his wallet and he was "asking for it back." Further, he stated he did not touch her during the entire incident.
Officers observed redness around the complainant’s neck.
The suspect was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
Suspect Enters Female's Motel Room and Grabs her by the Throat in Niagara Falls
