Niagara Falls Police responded to Tops on Niagara Falls Boulevard around 2:30pm on August 8th after reports of a shoplifter.
Upon arrival, a male shoplifter was detained in the loss prevention office. An employee told officers that the male attempted to conceal two packages of steal in his bookbag and walk out without rendering payment. Additionally, the male had violated a trespass notice as he was previously caught stealing from Tops.
The male, seeking to have a delicious meal on a grill for dinner, ended up empty handed. Although he did not get to eat steak like he wanted, the male still might've ended up with a free meal - a culinary delicacy served at the Niagara Falls Jail. The total value of the items taken was $38.12.
The male was placed in the rear of a patrol vehicle and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. He was held pending an arraignment. No further information is available at this time - Steak Thief Caught Red-handed, Ends Up with a Court Date Instead of a Delicious Meal.
