Squatters Break Into Upstairs Tenant's Apartment Stealing Toys, Hygiene and Cleaning Products

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1900 block of Niagara Street around 12:30pm on June 25th after reports of squatters breaking into an upstairs tenant's apartment and stealing hundreds of dollars worth of toys, hygiene and cleaning products.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated she lives in the upstairs apartment and that the downstairs unit has not had a tenant in quite some time. However, she told police that there are squatters utilizing the space and the landlord is aware of the situation.

The complainant stated that she believes someone recently entered her apartment and stole hundreds of dollars worth of items including, but not limited to, toddler toys, hygiene products, cleaning supplies., and more. The toys were near the front door and on her dresser. The cleaning supplies were under the sink. The hygiene products taken were in her shower.

Code enforcement for the City of Niagara Falls arrived to inspect the downstairs apartment. Their findings were not included in the police report. No further information is available.
