Six Vehicle Collision Leaves Two Seriously Injured, Driver in Custody


On Saturday morning, a vehicle collided with "at least a half dozen" other vehicles resulting in two individuals sustaining injuries according to the Buffalo Police Department. The crash occurred shortly before 1:30am on the 400 block of East Amherst Street.



Emergency officials swiftly responded to the scene and the two injured individuals were promptly transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for treatment. Buffalo police have confirmed that the driver of the striking vehicle has been taken into custody.



The exact circumstances leading up to the crash and the factors involved are under investigation. The crash has caused significant damage to multiple vehicles involved in the collision. The extent of the damage is yet to be determined and insurance companies will likely be involved in assessing costs and repairs.
