Silly Suspect Uses Stolen Credit Card at ATM that Takes His Photo, Buys Items from Three Stores

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 20th Street around 10:30am after a suspect uses stolen credit card at ATM and buys items from two stores.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated that someone entered her vehicle overnight and stole her wallet which contained multiple social security cards, a credit card and debit card. The wallet itself was worth $30.

Shortly thereafter, she got a notification from the credit card company that the credit card was used at an ATM at Tops on Portage Road. While at Tops, the suspect used the credit card for a purchase totaling $38.76. The ATM did take a photograph of the male.

The suspect used the card at one other establishment before trying and failing at a third location. The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a black shirt, grey sweater, hat and sweats.

Officers checked the three stores for video footage but had negative results. No further information is available.
