Significant Property Damage Caused by Gunfire at Former Niagara Catholic Building

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 66th Street around 8pm on July 14th after reports of significant property damage caused by gunfire at former Niagara Catholic building, currently ‘The Chapel’.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that he is the project manager for The Chapel and discovered extensive damage to a shed located in the rear area of the property.

Officers did observe several holes in the steel siding, overhead and man doors consistent with those caused by a bullet.  After reviewing surveillance footage, it was noted that several individuals, male and female, were present. It was not stated in the police incident report whether these individuals were juveniles or adults.

One of the black males present is seen in the surveillance footage holding a handgun inside the shed. According to the complainant nothing appeared to have been missing from the shed. No further information is available.
