Niagara Falls Police responded to Walmart on Military Road around 5:30pm on August 24th after reports of a larceny.

Walmart security alerted officers that two females wearing pink were exiting the store with stolen items. One female was riding a motorized cart out of the store and the second was walking next to her. Surveillance footage showed that they were working in concert with one another.

The items stolen were in a cart that one of the females was driving and they were already outside of the store. Officers exited the store and started walking towards their vehicle. Upon seeing them coming, the women started to hurry and leave. However, they were not fast enough.

Officers reached the vehicle before they were able to pull away and opened the driver’s side door. The driver was ordered out of the car and, after complying, was placed in handcuffs.

Both females were placed in custody and arrest paperwork was completed. Neither female had warrants nor was their identity proved so they were issued appearance tickets returnable at Niagara Falls City Court.

All stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to Walmart. No further information is available at this time.
