Shoplifter who Layered Up with Stolen Clothes from Walmart gets Caught


A Niagara Falls Police officer was working secondary employment at Walmart on Military Road around 12:30pm when an asset protection worker informed him of an active shoplifter.


According to surveillance footage, the male suspect selected two pairs of pants/shirts and a pair of boots. The male then placed the boots onto his feet before proceeding to the front bathroom where he put the other items on underneath is clothing. He left his original footwear in the department.



The male suspect then proceeded to the general merchandise exit where he passed all points of sale with the unpaid merchandise on his person. It was at this point the suspect was confronted by police. He was then escorted to the asset protection office.

 


The merchandise recovered from the male totaled $73.94 and was returned to Walmart. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable at Niagara Falls City Court. No further information is available at this time.
