Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2400 block of 24th Street around 10:00am on May 14th after reports of a car break-in.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated at some point between May 13th at 10:00pm and today at 8:00am an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and stole belongings.
The complainant stated that Citizen’s Bank sent a notification of fraudulent activity on her debit card at which point she walked outside to her vehicle and discovered the driver’s door wide open. She told police the car was unintentionally left unlocked.
The following items were stolen out of the vehicle: (i) a Louis Vuitton wallet valued at $1,200, (ii) her NYS ID, (iii) a Fidelity debit card, (iv) Citizen’s Bank debit card, (v) $50 in cash, and (iv) a bag of change in the center console.
The complainant also told police that the suspect ate her Chipotle bowl that was left on the front passenger seat. CSU detectives responded to take possession of the fork used in the consumption of the meal.
