Ridge Road House Fire in Newfane a Total Loss, Cause is Under Investigation

On June 14, 2024 at approximately 2122 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff's Communication Center received several calls reporting a possible house fire at 6419 Ridge Road in Newfane. The first arriving Fire Chief confirmed a working structure fire.

The occupants inside of the residence were notified of the fire and were safely assisted out of the residence by Niagara County HazMat Deputy Fire Coordinator Mark Hain; who happened to be driving past the residence at the time of the fire. The fire was subsequently extinguished by fire personnel who were on scene from several fire companies.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is being handled by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit. The structure is believed to be a total loss.
