Quarter Thief Strikes for Second Time at Niagara Falls Laundromat

Niagara Falls Police responded to the Maytag Laundromat on the 1600 block of Main Street around 12:00pm on June 14th after reports that a thief had broken into a gaming console and stolen $50 in quarters.

Upon arrival, police spoke to an employee who stated she came in this morning and discovered the Maximum Force gaming console was broken into. However, she was unsure when the incident took place. The gaming console had approx. $50 in quarters stolen and has an estimated repair cost of $200.  The employee told police a similar incident took place on June 11th and that she believes it could be the same person.

Officers observed damage to the front of the gaming console where it appeared someone had ripped the lock off to get the loose change inside. Surveillance footage showed a white male entering the business on June 14th, walking over to the gaming console and breaking into the machine. He then fled.

There are no known suspects. No further information is available.
