Niagara Falls Police were on routine patrol around 9pm on November 18th in the area of 22nd Street when they observed a white male lying on the sidewalk covered in water.

Officers made contact with the male to check on his welfare. In the midst of doing so, officers ran him for local 29’s through Niagara County dispatch which came back with a confirmed hit from the Town of Niagara.

The male was taken into custody and searched without incident. Dispatch advised officers that the Town of Niagara would take the male. Officers from Niagara Falls made the transfer with the Town of Niagara Police at a local Tim Hortons.

No further information is available at this time.
