In October, Forbes published "Bucket List Travel - The Top 20 Places to Visit in the World" based on a study by Kuoni, a Britain-based travel company. Kuoni conducted their analysis by examining Google search data for 119 bucket list locations throughout 219 countries.
The top spot on the list went to the Maldives, but coming in at a close second was Niagara Falls.
As Sheena Paton, Senior Program Manager at Kuoni, told Forbes, “the thundering waters at the border of Canada and the United States never fail to mesmerize visitors, providing an unforgettable bucket list experience."
Niagara Falls has long been referred to as a ‘Wonder of the World’ by visitors, historians, conservationists and others for hundreds of years. The awe and wonder surrounding Niagara Falls go far beyond the staggering amount of water flowing over it, the hydroelectric power it creates, or even its scenic views. Rather, what makes Niagara Falls special is that it is a natural wonder designed and existing through the grace of a higher power.
One thing is for sure - it's no surprise that Niagara Falls was named a 'top 2' place to visit in the world by Forbes!
