Police Searching Erie Canal as Concern Grows Missing Woman Committed Suicide in Niagara County

The Lockport Police Department is requesting community assistance in locating a missing woman, Kristine M. Adams, aged 52. She was last seen on Thursday at approximately 7:50am and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear. However, it is known that her vehicle was abandoned somewhere in Lockport.

Adams is described as 5' 3" tall and weighing around 105 pounds. Authorities are concerned for her well-being and are actively searching for any leads that could help in finding her.

Based on their investigation over the last 24 hours, police are currently searching the Erie Canal. There is concern that she jumped into the water in an attempt to end her life.
