Police Investigate Friday Night Shooting, Believed to be Domestic in Nature


Community Rallies for Niagara Falls Teenager in Critical Condition After Horrific Motor Vehicle Accident


Lockport police are actively investigating a shooting incident that took place on Friday night at the intersection of Genesee and Cottage streets. The victim, whose identity is currently being withheld, was transported to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition as of Saturday.



Lockport Police Chief Steven Abbott stated that preliminary findings suggest that the shooting was domestic in nature. It can be inferred from his comment that this was involving individuals in a relationship. The incident occurred around 11pm.



The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to gather more information and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information related to the shooting is urged to come forward and assist the Lockport Police Department in their investigation.
