A small aircraft went down in the Town of Aurora on Thursday morning with only the pilot aboard, which has been confirmed by the FAA. The incident occurred around 11:30am near 100 Stewart Court, which is situated in a residential neighborhood.
Emergency responders, including State Police and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to the scene. The condition of the pilot remains uncertain at this time, but sourced indicate he/she is deceased.
Preliminary reports suggest that an electrical malfunction may have contributed to the crash.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
