A house fire on the west side of Buffalo has left an elderly couple devastated after their home was destroyed on the wife's birthday. The fire originated from a vacant home next door on Connecticut Street and quickly spread, engulfing their property.
The Potter family's world was turned upside down early Saturday morning when a three-alarm fire broke out at a vacant home adjacent to their residence. The flames rapidly consumed the vacant property and extended to their own home, leaving it in ruins.
Terry and Lynda Potter, who resided in the house for the last 20 years, were fortunate to escape with their lives. The devastating incident occurred on Lynda's birthday, adding an additional layer of heartbreak. The couple, who have spent their entire lives on the west side of Buffalo, now face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
The community has rallied together to support the couple with a special GoFundMe campaign established to assist them during this difficult time. If you would like to donate, you can do so by clicking HERE.
