North Tonawanda Police Investigate Vandalism of Several Halloween Displays

Several homes in North Tonawanda were targeted by vandals who damaged Halloween displays late Sunday night into early Monday morning. The North Tonawanda Police Department is currently investigating the incidents which have left residents feeling frustrated and disheartened.

The vandalism occurred in various neighborhoods but particularly around 14th and 17th streets, Walck Road, and Pioneer Street. Many residents took to the Public NT Facebook Page to report the damage with some sharing video footage of the vandals in action.

One of the victims reported that the suspects caused over $1,000 in damage to his Halloween display. Security footage from one of the homes captured vandals in the act.

North Tonawanda Mayor Austin Tylec addressed the situation in a Facebook post, urging anyone with information about the vandalism to contact the non-emergency police line at (716) 692-4111 ext. 0.

In response to concerns about vandalism, North Tonawanda Police Chief Keith Glass offered advice to homeowners. He suggested that surveillance cameras can deter potential vandals or assist police in identifying them.
