North Tonawanda Police Debunk Claims Male was Thrown Through Glass Window

By: Staff Reporter

On August 2, 2022, the North Tonawanda Police Department responded to the Carousel Apartments, 100 Oliver Street, for reports of screaming and glass breaking.

Upon officers arriving on scene, a 60-year-old male was found outside a broken first floor apartment window, bleeding profusely from numerous lacerations. The male was tended to by both North Tonawanda police officers and the North Tonawanda Fire Department and was transported to Erie County Medical Center by Twin City Ambulance.

Initial reports suggested that the male was thrown through the apartment window. After investigation by detectives and review of surveillance video, it was determined that the male suffered his injuries from striking and breaking the glass while involved in a dispute with another party.

The male is currently undergoing treatment at Erie County Medical Center for his injuries and expected to make a full recovery. Names of those involved and further details are being withheld while the investigation is being completed.
