A man from North Tonawanda has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for his involvement in an elaborate drug trafficking operation in Buffalo. Johnny Williams, 32-years-old, was convicted of charges including conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.
U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo delivered the sentence, which marked Williams as one of ten individuals convicted in connection with the drug ring. Prosecutors revealed that Williams collaborated with ringleader Lairon Graham and others to sell fentanyl and crack cocaine from a residence on Liddell Street in Buffalo between June and October 2021.
During several of these drug sales, Williams was reportedly armed with a loaded firearm. In addition to his drug-related activities, prosecutors charged that Williams was involved in a shooting incident in March 2022 where he fired several shots from a semi-automatic pistol at an individual, striking them in the upper arm. Authorities alleged that the shooting was intended to intimidate the victim and prevent them from cooperating with law enforcement.
