Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of 20th Street on Saturday, March 20th, after a puppy was reported stolen.

Niagara Falls Woman Claims Puppy Stolen, Neighbor Says it Was Loose Before Someone Grabbed It

Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated that someone walked away with her dog, a tan/white 11-month-old Pitbull. The woman stated her front door was slightly open and when she went to check if her dog was outside, she noticed the front gate to be open and the dog was gone.

The complainant’s neighbor witnessed the event but would not say anything more to her other than someone (a female) took the dog. When approached by police, the neighbor became more talkative. She stated the dog was loose and was found by the female, at which time she corralled the dog and took it with her. It appears as though despite watching this unfold, the woman decided to say nothing to the female about which home the dog belonged to. As the neighbor told police, she has her “own problems” to worry about.”
