Niagara Falls Tourist has Window Shattered at Downtown Hotel

Niagara Falls Police responded to Comfort Inn at the Pointe on Prospect Point around 10am on August 19th after a report vehicle theft.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who was visiting Niagara Falls from Wisconsin. He stated his passenger side window was shattered on his 2007 Pontiac G6 and that his Kindle was missing from the vehicle.

***On a side note, Imagine the thieves' disappointment after smashing the window and realizing all that was in the vehicle was a Kindle.***

Officers observed the passenger front window to be shattered. The complainant said he parked the car at midnight and observed the damage at approx. 9:30am. The total cost of damage to the vehicle is $250 and the stolen Kindle is valued at $180.

Officers observed surveillance footage where it appears there was a group of 5 people, two of which were on bikes with headlights, who smashed the window. The video quality was poor preventing any useful descriptions of the suspects. No further information is available at this time.
