Niagara Falls Murder Suspect Apprehended in Alabama


Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced that an indictment charging Rojae J. Mitchell, age 22, with Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree was unsealed in County Court today.



Mitchell is charged with murdering Anthony Brantley in Niagara Falls on August 24th of last year. Mitchell, no permanent address, was apprehended in Alabama and returned to Niagara County by members of the Niagara Falls Police Department and United States Marshals Service. He was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff pending further proceedings.


A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
