Niagara Falls Man Sentenced to 22 Years for Fatal Stabbing

A Niagara Falls man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for a fatal stabbing that occurred on New Year’s Day 2023. Dominique Castile, 36, was sentenced after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the death of 33-year-old Stefhon Hilson. According to the Niagara County District Attorney's Office, he "stabbed him to death."



Castile also pleaded guilty to second-degree assault for a separate incident in which he stabbed another individual just five days prior on December 27th, 2022. Initially facing up to 25 years, Castile's plea agreement resulted in a 22-year prison term, reflecting the severity of his actions and the impact on the victims and their families.



The case was investigated by the Niagara Falls Police Department and prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Doreen Hoffmann and Assistant District Attorney David DeChellis.
